Are you a coffee lover who would enjoy a day out with family or friends learning more about your favourite brew on one of the most beautiful coffee estates in the country?
Fairview Coffee Estate warmly invites you to the Kahawa Festival, to be held on the 1st of October, 2016. This day commemorates the International Coffee Day; a day that celebrates coffee growers and coffee as a healthy and delicious beverage.
Fairview Coffee Estate, “Home to the World’s Finest Coffee” for over 100 years, will be hosting one event of many around the world branded as the Kahawa Festival. This will be an entertaining and educative day with farmers and coffee experts taking us on exciting and comprehensive Farm-to-Cup coffee tours. Visitors will experience a coffee journey from the coffee bush, through the factory, right to cupping and tasting. Fairview Coffee will be served and will also be on sale. Other African coffee cultures will also be part of the experience and adventure you will enjoy.
The programme starts from 10:00am and last all day to conclude at 6:00 pm. You will have a variety of eateries to choose from, be able to enjoy picnics and nature trail walks, as you listen to live classical music at the beautiful Fairview Gardens by the dam. Dress Code is casual! Please come in comfortable walk shoes and something to sit on- a Kikoi, Kanga or Mkeka (small mat).
This will also be a good activity for tourists if you will be having visitors in the country on that day.
Directions to the Fairview Estate farm are as follows: we are situated right opposite Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) along Kiambu road, on your right just before Kiambu town if coming from Nairobi CBD. The path is via the Mawara Gate that is situated along the former Village Inn road. We will however have guides directing you from the KIST Junction on how to access the Farm.
