Conversations on the politics and culture of coffee at Northeastern University
Come learn about coffee’s story from cup to cafe as we celebrate National & International Coffee Day with Recreco Coffee, Wicked Joe, and Flat Black at Northeastern University.
Now in its second year, “The World in Your Cup: Conversations on the Politics and Culture of Coffee” is an event series curated by Erika Koss – a writer, teacher, former barista, and coffee lover – who works as an Assistant Dean in Northeastern University’s College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The series brings together members of the “third wave” of specialty coffee to explore questions of politics and culture through the coffee cup.
This event on September 30, 2016 will launch the fall 2016, which will also feature Dr. Andrea Illy on October 27 and Dr. Carla Martin on December 1.
The event is presented by the Northeastern University Consortium of Food Systems Sustainability, Health, and Equity, and sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.
