The Coffee Week is a weeklong festival in the Czech Republic’s second-largest city Brno that celebrates International Coffee day on October 1st. Since 2011 is held anually in days of October 1 – 7. One of the main goals of the biggest coffee festival in the Czech Republic is to support local cafés, to spread the coffee culture and education. Coffee week wants to open the world of coffee to everyone and introduce the story of coffee from a plant to cup.
The program of Coffee Week is divided in two parts. In the framework of the special program can visitors learn a lot about coffee, participate in some workshops and visit some interesting talks. If interested, they can also try to prepare their own coffee in traditional or alternative way of preparation with guidance of skilled baristas and professionals or they can watch the professionals themselves in special Coffee Week Barista Competition. The festival also includes special two-day-long Coffee Market where can taste and buy from the special selection of roasted coffee. The second part of the festival consists of program in the participating cafes.

Coffee Week is coorganised by a Brno-based non governmental organisation Kulturárium online magazine Kávové Listy and KAVA TEAM company. Kulturárium provides cultural and social activities in Brno through innovative projects that attract the attention of tourists, art groups and experts from around the world
